In his 33-year management career with Desjardins, Jacques Henry leveraged his academic studies in industrial relations, administration and organizational management. Starting out as a department head, then moving up to general manager, Jacques Henry played a vital role in the consolidation of the Bonaventure, St-Siméon, Caplan and St-Alphonse branches in the year 2000.
Actively involved in the community, he has served on many boards of directors over the years, including the Fondation Santé Baie-des-Chaleurs, the Fondation du Collège de la Gaspésie, the Musée Acadien du Québec, and the chamber of commerce. Jacques Henry has worked with many entrepreneurs and freelancers and hopes to continue supporting regional economic development through mentoring.
He defines a mentor as, “an individual who understands how to be a good listener and who is able to support the mentee by helping them reflect on the projects they want to work towards.”
