With her university training in administration, Martine Bourgeois has held various positions in the private sector, in public service, in the cooperative movement, and has been a business owner. Martine has always been actively involved on boards of directors, including spending over 30 years on the Board of the Caisse Populaire Desjardins des Ramées. She has volunteered for many organizations, and participates with several different organizing committees for major events. She is currently a caregiver for a senior citizen.

As she approaches retirement, Martine hopes to continue supporting the economic development of her area and helping the next generation of entrepreneurs build a strong foundation and reach their full potential.

The best piece of advice she has for entrepreneurs is:

“Surround yourself with helpful resources, be confident and kind to yourself. Never hesitate to take a step back… Even whales can only eat one bite at a time!”

Martine’s areas of interest: sharing a delicious meal with friends, sports and being in the outdoors, sailing, travelling.
