A native of the Haute-Gaspésie region, Yannick Ouellet has spent his life surrounded by agriculture and marine life. In 1994, he graduated from the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec with a diploma in pastry making, cuisine for restaurants, and progressive cuisine. Following 15 years in the restaurant industry, Yannick founded a restaurant and bio-food consulting firm. Over the years, the company has experienced growth and diversified, and today, Les Services Alimentaires Yannick Ouellet employs 35 people.
Yannick would have greatly appreciated having a mentor himself when he first started his company. As a mentor, he hopes to share his knowledge and give back to his community the same type of valuable advice he received from mentors in his field.
Yannick believes the greatest advantage of mentoring is, “the satisfaction that comes from contributing to the social and economic development of the community.”
